Christian confronted general manager Theodore Long backstage, and was incensed when Long suggested he would make Mark Henry the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship if he won his match against Orton.

Long banned Christian from ringside. Orton launched into a series of blows early, but Henry threw him into two turnbuckles in a row and then slammed him to the mat. Henry continued to dominate offensively until he missed a charge and hit the turnbuckle, allowing Orton to land a DDT.
